VIEW-MASTER AUCTION TERMS OF BIDDING
1. All lots sold to the highest bidder. Minimum increments on Phone
Bids: 10% rounded to the nearest dollar. (No 50 cents increments. All
bids ending in 50 cents will be rounded UP to the next dollar.)
2. Regarding Mail Bids: Ties go to earliest received bid.
3. I ACCEPT 'MAXIMUM' BIDS. Any bid that is more than the present
highest bid, or 'starting bid' as marked in the catalogue, is a Maximum
Bid. I automatically inform phone bidders if there is a Maximum Bid on
the lot on which they are bidding, but I cannot disclose the amount of
the Maximum Bid unless or until it is surpassed. The phone bidder then
has the option of putting in his/her own Max. Bid, if desired. Don't
bid more than you are willing to pay, in case someone bids you to your
Maximum. In the case of a Max, the current bid must be increased by a
MINIMUM of one increment. However the Max may be beaten by less than a
full increment.
4. The bidding on all lots starts at the listed price.
5. Bidder pays all postage and insurance/registration.
6. ALL BIDS ARE IN AMERICAN FUNDS
7. Bids welcome via phone, fax, postal mail, e-mail, or here on-line.
Direct on-line bidders must pre-register. Please do so as early as
possible. ('Now' would be a good time.) You will be assigned a password
and bidder's number. (I will be checking my email hourly or less, if
possible, so the wait for a password and bidder number shouldn't be too
long.) You can then bid on-line in real-time, somewhat similar to ebay.
Last day, late evening bidders via telephone or fax, earlier
registration would be appreciated, as I would otherwise have to
register you during the heat of the bidding.
8. Canadian residents must pay applicable taxes.
9. Unlike ebay, sniping is not part of the equation in this auction. I
will be closing lots with a very liberal waiting period. Beginning at
the closing time, after 8 minutes with no bids or enquiries, I shut
down the bidding on all the lots at once. This can happen as early as
10:30 p.m. but sometimes much later. IF the auction is still alive at
Midnight, the 8-minute rule turns into a 4-minute rule.
10. Please call if you have any questions about the above.

I use the regular packet-style descriptions up to and including G3.
I designate G4, G5, G6 as (upper-case) 'GAF.' Any post-GAF packets I
designate as 'VM.' Assume the reels in any Sawyer packets (S1 to S6) or
lower-case 'gaf' packets (G1 to G3) to be Kodachrome if not otherwise
mentioned.
Assume 'GAF' or 'VM' packets to have non-Kodachrome reels if not
otherwise
noted. Blister Pak reels are non-Kodachrome unless otherwise noted.
Bubbling is a blistering on the body of the reel, only. Assume
images
are fine unless otherwise noted.
Cupping is a bowing of the cells. Natural cupping is alright, but
extreme
cupping due to projector-heat is undesirable.
I have designed a packet-style guide for easy identification of both
Sawyer's and later packets.
Regarding View-Master packets, I am no longer using the abbreviation
'NB/NM' (No Booklet,
None Mentioned.) From now on, I will mention the bklt only if one is
present, or SHOULD BE present.
